“Shakespeare in Love”

”Shakespeare in love”, a cultural and foreseen activity in the Strategic Development Plan for the Victoria Intercultural Atelier, took place Friday the 28th of April 2017, in Slatina. This event marked the anniversary of 453 years since the birth of the great playwright William Shakespeare. On this occasion were broadcast sequences from the 1968 movie “Romeo and Juliet”, a comic strip from the famous director Franco Zeffirelli. Two people of culture known at local level had presentations on the life and works of the great English playwright: Valeriu Ciurea, referent at the Center for the Conservation and Promotion of Traditional Culture Olt, and Remus Iordache, actor and stage director.

The Victoria Intercultural Atelier celebrated the International Rroma Day

The “International Rroma Day” festival (April 8th), a foreseen activity in the Strategic Development Plan for the Victoria Intercultural Atelier, took place Friday the 21st of April, in Slatina.
Although it did not take place on April 8th, the Department for Culture and Sport postponed the date of the festival due to the long discussions on the budget and its approval and because of the procurement procedures stated by national legislation.

However, all of these did not prevent public participation at this show of rroma culture and art.

The inauguration of ”Intercultural Victoria Workshop” from Slatina, project implemented by Slatina Municipality in partnership with Evris Foundation SES from Iceland financed though EEA Grants took place from 16th to 20th of august, 2016.

The project has been promoted in partnership with Evris Foundation SES from Iceland, represented by Mrs. Anna Margret Gudjonsdottir and its objective was not only the rehabilitation of a historical monument building but also adding value to the construction architecturaly speaching and introducing it to the cultural circle.

    The project “Intercultural Workshop Victoria” is identified with no. PA16 / RO12 / 2-LP-2 / 11.27.2014 and it is financed through EEA Grants under Program PA16 / RO12 “Preservation and revitalization of cultural and natural heritage”. Slatina Municipality aims to establish a strategical development plan – a set of measures to achieve in the next five years and also a document that sets the direction of development and partnerships necessary to promote Intercultural Workshop Victoria.
